2006 Halloween Costume Trends

Let's face it, we know that every year people dress up as witches and vampires. But what if we could know what the new trendy halloween costumes are going to be for the upcoming halloween season? Well with a little bit of observation, a grain of salt and some pumpkin carving utensils we'll be able to do just that! Keep reading to find the prections for the 2006 Halloween Costume Trends!

Batman Costumes

Batman has always been a big hit with kids, but this year because of the Batman Begins movie, we're going to see tons more Bat-men all over the parties and the streets on halloween. Don't be afraid to dress up as a Batman or a Katie Holmes, because you're going to fit right in. But if you want to stand out in the line-up on batman wanna-bes, go for something like a Robin costume, or even better go ahead of the times in anticipation for Joss Whedon's upcoming Wonder Woman movie. (Oh, and if you're a girl, you can dress up as a bat-girl and a female Robin, there's nothing wrong with that!)

Pirates Of the Caribbean Costumes

With Pirates of the Caribbean there will be tons of mascara eyed pirates with wigs walking around. But if you want to stand out of the crowd, you could dress up as Kiera Knightley and be the damsel in distress. Of course pirates are cool, and with the choice between Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom, you're sure to find your match or be forced to walk the plank! Enjoy the fact that you can be anything you want for halloween and dress up as Captain Barbosa or any of the crew of the Black Pearl.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith Costumes

The last two types of costumes were actually already common costumes before the two movies made them popular... But Mr. and Mrs. Smith costumes are an all-original type of costume based on the lovely characters portrayed by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Now who wouldn't want to dress up as this sexy couple? In order to get the Angelina Jolie look, you will either need some hair extensions or just tie up your hair in a sexy do. Get some tight fitting army camouflage clothes and get ready to look good and be tough. For the Brad Pitt look, you can get your hair cut like him, get some sort of a plastic arsenal and hang on to the arm of your lovely Mrs. Smith.

Here are a couple more ideas: dress up as a character from Snakes On a Plane, dress up as browncoat and be the captain of a firefly ship named Serenity or a cute airplane mechanic named Kaylee. The sky is the limit, so although everyone wants to look cool and up to date on the latest news events, movies and celebrities, ultimately how much fun you have is going to be more important than the costume you pick... unless your costume is the exact same one as everyone else's.
