Here is the perfect article for you, you'll get to pick from a Spartan?s costume, being Harry Potter, a Pirate from the Caribbean, one of the Fantastic Four, a Spiderman or even a Transformer!
300 Halloween Costumes aka Spartans Costumes
Everyone who watched the movie 300 is going to want to dress up like a Spartan Soldier for Halloween. But what materials will you need to make your halloween costume as realistic as possible? Well first of all, you will need to get yourself a nice large piece of red material, which you can use a makeshift cape or toga. Next, you can get yourself a pair of sandals and build a pair of nice shin armer out of cardboard. Depending on your budget you could buy some of these accessories at a Halloween Costume Shop, but if you are determined to make your own costume here is how to proceed: find some golden construction paper and draw some Spartanesque patterns on four different sheets. You will use one sheet for each lower leg (shin) and one smaller sheet for each forearm as a guarding bracelet. For your helmet, use the same paper but shape it around your head with a piece of paper going over your nose as an armor. You're halfway there! Now it's time to design your weapons. If you are short on time you can use a broomstick as your spear, but for a sword you will want to splurge a little so that you can complete your costume. Good luck, young Spartan!
Harry Potter Halloween Costumes
Now if you would rather be a young Harry Potter this Halloween then here are the materials you will need: one large brown or blue cape, a long piece of wood to make a wand, some face make up to design your lightning bolt and some glasses. For the cape you can either use a robe or just buy a large piece of blue or brown material and fasten it around your shoulders. You should be able to find some inexpensive glasses at the dollar store, just make sure they are large frames and fit you comfortably. Next, get some simple face painting materials and draw a nice lightning bolt on your forehead. If you have long enough hair, frizz them up a little to make it look as though you've just fought against You Know Who and are just escaping! For your wand, you can use any small enough branch that you find on the ground, just decorate it as you see fit using feathers or other materials you have on hand. If you can't find any of these materials, you can always wear your regular clothes and tell people: "I must have lost my Invisibility cloak if you can see me! Help me find it!"
