To have the most fun Halloween party, you need to have some Halloween games and some Halloween activities organized ahead of time. There are tons of Halloween themed activities our there, and it's up to you to pick between Traditional Halloween games and activities and more modern ones that have sprung up in the past few years. Reading Scary Stories by Bonfire or Flashlight

Reading scary stories to each other by bonfire or flashlight, with a group of people gathering in small circles around a light source is always a bit spooky and definitely lots of fun. If you are with a very creative crowd then everyone can come up with their own stories, and you could even ask people to write up and print some short stories or scary poems ahead of time so everyone can have something frightening to read. Remember to have a rule not to judge anyone's writing, because writing stories is a very personal thing and you don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

Pin the tail on the Jack-o-Lantern

This modern Halloween game is great because it can be enjoyed by both children and adults alike. Children will see the similarities with this game and the Pin the Tail on the Donkey game that is often played during birthday parties. The difference here is that Pin the tail on the Jack-o-lantern can be played on both a real carved pumpkin, with say a target of pinning one particular target on the pumpkin, or you can also print out or purchase a flat cardboard pumpkin decoration to use.

Bobbing For Apples

Bobbing for apples is one of the classic Halloween activities and you can find out more about how to do it by reading this article about Bobbing for Apples.

Going on a Hay Stack Ride

Around Halloween time, tons of farms start organizing Hay stack rides around the countryside. Although this may not be a night time activity for parties, it is definitely a great halloween party activity for kids, since their Halloween parties are usually in the afternoons. These rides are great because children and adults have a chance to reconnect with nature, see the harvests of these farms and really just smell the fresh air, see the fallen leaves and appreciate Halloween for what it is: a time of bounty and connection with people.
